BUILT/ will operate an omnichannel retail model with a huge range of building supply essentials, offering stock, price and transaction level visibility and is designed to offer consistent, predictable and guaranteed services to its customers.

Equip Outdoor Technologies Engage The Logistics and Warehouse Specialists

Equip Outdoor Technologies UK Ltd (Equip) specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor equipment and own and operate two specialist outdoor brands, Rab and Lowe Alpine. Their experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world.

Equip enlisted the expertise of the Warehouse and Logistics Specialists at Gideon Hillman Consulting, in order to provide design layout for all internal warehouse and operational areas within their new facility.

The Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting, carried out an initial review on-site, to understand the scope of the project, and to conduct an assessment of the facility, focussing on warehouse processes including but not limited to goods received, pick/pack and despatch.

From this review, the specialist Warehouse and Logistics Consultants were able to assess the facility layout, and evaluate and recommend optimised warehouse layouts and processes.

Monkfield enlists the help of Specialist Logistics and Supply Chain Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting…

Monkfield Nutrition has been a market leader in the breeding of live reptile food for over 25 years. During this time, they have set up an extensive reptile captive breeding programme, the largest European rodent farm, and introduced a full range of reptile equipment including innovative own brand products. Monkfield supplies around 1000 retailers throughout the UK. Following increased customer service demands and rapid growth, Monkfield Nutrition acquired a new operational site. Monkfield approached Gideon Hillman Consulting (GH) to ensure that the new warehouse was optimised for future requirements.

The Logistics Specialists at Gideon Hillman Consulting provided Monkfield with an independent review of operational processes, including goods receipt, storage, pick/pack, despatch and returns and value added flows. Following their review, to optimise Monkfield’s new warehouse facility, the Supply Chain and Warehouse Specialist Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting, provided Monkfield with draft CAD drawings of the optimised facility to be presented for approval and review to ensure no commercial or operational constraints prevailed.

NISA engages Specialist Logistics and Supply Chain Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting for Distribution Network Support

Nisa is the brainchild of two grocery entrepreneurs – Dudley Ramsden and Peter Garvin who, in 1977, launched the company as the Northern Independents Supermarket Association to protect the interests of independents against the insurgence of the national supermarket chains.

Nisa is a unique member owned organisation serving independent food retailers. It represents over 1,300 registered shareholders operating over 3,000 stores and is flexible; enabling them to trade under their own fascia, to join the ever expanding Nisa symbol group or to choose the new alternative fascia, Loco. Through Nisa membership, retailers get access to a vast product range, an award winning own label range and an industry leading distribution network. Gideon Hillman Consulting supports Premier Foods with consolidation of Sweet Treats and Grocery Businesses

 

Having previously completed consultancy projects for Premier Foods, Leading UK Specialist Logistics and Supply Chain Consultancy – Gideon Hillman Consulting, were contacted, and were requested by the Premier Foods to develop a strategy to optimise and where possible consolidate logistics operations of their sweet treats and grocery businesses.

The Logistics team at Gideon Hillman Consulting, conducted an initial centre of gravity analysis, alongside proposing various scenario models for numbers and location of depots. This initial review, enabled the Gideon Hillman Consulting team to provide Premier Foods with practical, and realistic solutions, of which the most cost effective option was the consolidation of Premier Foods logistics operations into a single Depot based in the Tamworth area. The next stage was to carry out a tender process which has resulted in their 650,000 sq.ft. site in Tamworth and UK distribution being operated by XPO logistics.

With the support of the Logistics and Supply Chain Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting, Premier Foods have now been successfully provided with a fully integrated and seamless solution to support their manufacturing and distribution operations.
